5 mm fired-ceramic surface on specialty glass. Dropped from ~3 meters.
Already produced. Now being evaluated for broader U.S. applications.
The manufacturer operates an established production facility in China, and its ceramic surface products have been used in commercial and public projects.
The footage below is a factory demonstration, not an independent laboratory test. We are not claiming the material is unbreakable or chip-proof.
Trade pricing depends on specification, fabrication, packing, freight and project requirements.
WHY WE'RE SHOWING THIS
The question is not whether a fired ceramic surface can resist heat or scratches.
Those are expected surface characteristics. What we want to understand is whether the impact behavior shown here can translate into lower breakage risk during handling and installation — and whether that could change how thin hard surfaces are specified and used.
U.S. PROFESSIONAL FEEDBACK
Would this performance matter on a real project?
If the appearance, specifications, delivered price and lead time made sense, would you consider evaluating or using a material like this?
We’d rather hear the weaknesses than receive compliments.
